Hercules (Ship) log book, 1784.

The collection consists of a logbook of the ship Hercules during a voyage from Plymouth, Massachusetts to Savannah, Georgia from January 11 - March 31, 1784. Probably recorded by Captain Hugh Russell, the log's daily entries note the time of day, the course, the direction of the wind, latitude and longitude, and remarks on weather and various sealife encountered.
